dellisse dance studio

About us

The Dellisse Dance Studio is founded on the idea of a thorough training in the field of dance, where it combines professional guidance with a personal approach. Every dancer receives the utmost attention and the training that particularly suites him or her.

Kids are taught from the age of 3 until the age of 18 and we have also opened ballet and pilates classes for elderly people and for IDF participants. For kindergarten-age kids, ballet basics are taught to them in a simple and playful manner. This way the students are given the initial tools in training that will later be used for more complex ballet training. With the more advanced levels special attention is made making sure that the professional training provided to students will not bring neither physical or mental harm.

Our teacher

Our teacher is Audrey Dellisse. She has acquired her professional training in the Royal Academy of Dance in Antwerp, Belgium, where she started dancing at the age of 8 and matriculated with a diploma at the age of 18. At the age of 19, Audrey participated in the International Ballet Competition in Geneva, where she became the first dancer in the history of dance competitions to win two golden medals: one in classical and the other in modern dance. Not long after, Audrey was invited to join the Kibbutz Contemporary Dance Company in Israel, under the artistic director, Rami Be’er.  Ther she danced for five years and appeared in hundreds of performances in Israel and also around the world.

Audrey Dellisse has started her teaching career in 1995 at the Art Highschool of Dance and Music in Brussels. When she came to Israel and joined the Kibbutz Company, she taught students at the Kibbutz Contemporary  School (Sadna). Later on she taught at various studios in Israel till 2006 when she established Studio Dellisse in Jerusalem. She then proceeded to teach over a decade at the Jerusalem Dance Arts Centre and now has opened the Dellisse Dance Studio in Jerusalem to give students education through the movement of dance, where each child is given the opportunity to grow and reach it the best way possible.
